2030 වන විට ලංකාවේ සමස්ත විදුලි නිෂ්පාදනයෙන් 70%ක් පුනර්ජනය බලශක්ති ප්‍රභවයන්ගෙන් සපුරා ගැනීම රජයේ ඉලක්කයයි. ඒ වෙනුවෙන් රජයත් පෞද්ගලික අංශයත් මැදිහත් වෙමින් පුනර්ජනනීය විදුලි නිෂ්පාදනයට දායක වෙයි. පුනර්ජනනීය බලශක්ති ප්‍රභව අතර  හිරු එළියට වැඩි වටිනාකමක් හිමිවෙන්නේ ලංකාව හොඳින් හිරු එළිය ලබන රටක් හෙයිනි. හිරු එළියෙන් (සූර්ය පැනල වලින්) විදුලිය උත්පාදනය කිරීමට දායක වෙන පෞද්ගලික ආයතන අතර ප්‍රමුඛ සන්නාමයක් වන්නේ හේලීස් සමුහ ව්‍යාපාරයට අයත් හේලීස් සෝලා ආයතනයයි. හේලීස් ෆෙන්ටන්ස් ආයතනයේ පුනර්ජනනීය බලශක්ති අංශය වන හේලීස් සෝලා සූර්ය විදුලිබල උත්පාදනය සම්බන්ධයෙන් තීරණාත්මක ජයග්‍රහණයත් අත් කරගෙන තිබේ. එනම් මෙගාවොට් 150ක සූර්ය පැනල බලාගාරයක් ඉදිකිරීම සඳහා සුදුසුකම් ලැබීමයි. ඒ ගැනත් ආයතනයේ ඉදිරි ව්‍යාපාරික කටයුතු ගැනත් මේ සාකච්ඡාව හේලීස් ෆෙන්ටන්ස් ආයතනයේ කළමනාකාර අධ්‍යක්ෂක හසිත් ප්‍රේමතිලක සමඟයි.

හේලීස් ෆෙන්ටන්ස් ආයතනයේ ගමන් මඟ ගැන කෙටි හැඳින්වීමක් කළොත්?

ෆෙන්ටන්ස් ආයතනය පටන් ගත්තේ 1919 හර්බර්ට් ෆෙන්ටන්ස් කියන වරලත් ඉංජිනේරුවා විසින්. 2016 දී හේලීස් ආයතනය විසින් ෆෙන්ටන්ස් ආයතනය මිලදී ගත්තා. හේලීස් කියන්නේ දැනට ලංකාවේ තියෙන දැවැන්තම ආයතනය. හේලීස් ආයතනයේ අංශ 16ක් තියෙනවා. එයින් අපි නියෝජනය කරන්නේ ඉන්ජිනේරු හා ව්‍යාපෘති අංශය. හේලීස් ෆෙන්ටන්ස් නමින් හඳුන්වන්නේ මේ අංශය. හේලීස් ආයතනයේ සභාපතිතුමාගේ දැක්ම තමයි අපේ ආයතනය යම් ව්‍යාපාරික ක්ෂ්‍ර්‍රේත්‍රයක ඉන්නවා නම් අපි ඒ අංශයේ ප්‍රමුඛයා විය යුතුයි කියන එක. හේලීස් ආයතනය LMD සඟරාවේ ප්‍රමුඛතම සම්මාන දිනාගෙන තියනවා. ශ්‍රී ලංකා වරලත් ගණකාධිකරණ ආයතනයෙන් කරන ලද ශ්‍රේණිගත කිරීම් වල සමාගම් අතරින් පළමු ස්ථානය දිනා ගන්නත් හේලීස් ආයතනයට හැකියාව ලැබුණා. ලංකාවෙ තියෙන ඉංජිනේරු සමාගම් අතරින් පෙරමුණේ ඉන්නෙත් හේලීස් ෆෙන්ටන්ස් ආයතනය. අපේ ආයතනයේ පිරිවැටුම රුපියල් බිලියන තිහක මට්ටමට ඇවිත් තියෙනවා.

අපේ ආදායම් වලින් සියයට පනහක්ම එන්නේ පුනර්ජනනීය බලශක්ති අංශයෙන්. වහල මත සවි කරන සෝලා ගත්තත් පොළොව මත සවිකරන සෝලා ගත්තත් බැටරි පද්ධතියෙන් ක්‍රියාත්මක වෙන සෝලා ගත්තත් මේ කවර ආකාරයක එකක් ගත්තත් හේලීස් ෆෙන්ටන්ස් ආයතනය ඉදිරියෙන් ඉන්නවා. ලංකාවේ සමස්ත සෝලා ධාරිතාවෙන් 25%ක්ම අපේ ආයතනයෙන් ලබා දෙනවා.  ලංකා විදුලිබල මණ්ඩලය මඟින් දැනට සුළං හා සෝලා විදුලිය මෙගා වොට් 400 ක් පමණ මිලදී ගැනීම සඳහා ටෙන්ඩර් කැඳවලා තියෙනවා.එයින් මෙගා වොට් දෙසීයක්ම අපේ ආයතනයට ලැබිලා තියෙනවා. ඒ ටෙන්ඩර් අපේ ආයතනයට ලැබුණේ අපි ඉදිරිපත් කරපු තරඟකාරී මිල ගණන් නිසා. මේ ළඟ ළඟදීම මෙගාවොට් 50ක සූර්ය බලාගාරයක් ඉදිකිරීමේ ටෙන්ඩරය ලැබුණෙත් අපේ ආයතනයට.

ඒ බලාගාරයේ ඉදිකිරීම් කොයි කාලෙද පටන් ගන්නේ?

මේ අවුරුද්ද මැද වෙද්දි ඒ කටයුතු පටන් ගන්න වෙනවා.

ලෝකයේ වෙන රටවල් එක්ක බලද්දි සෝලා පද්ධතිය සවිකිරීම සඳහා ලංකාවේ වැඩි මුදලක් වැය වන බවට සාකච්ඡාවක් තියෙනවා. ඒක ඇත්තද? 

ලෝකය සමඟ සංසන්දනය කළොත් සෝලා සවි කිරීම සඳහා වැයවෙන මුදල ලංකාවේ අඩු අගයක තියෙන්නේ. ඕස්ට්‍රේලියාව, ජර්මනිය, ඇමරිකාව යන රටවල ගෙදරකට කිලෝ වොට් පහක සෝල පද්ධතියක් ඩොලර් 3000ක මුදලකට සවි කරන්න බෑ. ඒ රටවල ඒ සඳහා ඩොලර් 5000 ක් -10000 අතර මුදලක් වැය වෙනවා. ඒත් ලංකාවේ කිලෝ වොට් පහක සෝලා කට්ටලයක් ඩොලර් 3000කට සවි කරන්න පුළුවන්. ඩොලර් 3000ක් කියන්නේ රුපියල් ලක්ෂ නවයයි. නමුත් ආණ්ඩුවට ගන්න සෝල පද්ධති ලෝකයේ අනිත් රටවල් වලට වඩා මිලෙන් වැඩියි. හේතුව අපේ පරිමාණය අඩුයි. ඒ නිසා ලංකාවේ දැනට සෝලා විදුලිය ඒකකයක් අලෙවි කරන්නේ ඩොලර් ශත 6ත් 8ත් අතර මිලකට. ඉන්දියාවේ සූර්ය බල විදුලි ව්‍යාපෘති මෙගාවොට් 4000ක් වැනි විශාල ප්‍රමාණයේ ඒවා. එතකොට ඒකක මිල අඩුවෙන් දෙන්න පුළුවන්. ඒ නිසා ඉන්දියාවේ සෝලා විදුලි ඒකකයක් විකිණෙන්නේ ඩොලර් ශත දෙකක් තුනක් වැනි මිලකට.

ලංකාව පුරා තවදුරටත් සෝලා ව්‍යාපෘති ආරම්භ කිරීම සඳහා ආයෝජනය කිරීමට හේලීස් සෝලා ආයතනයට හැකියාව තියෙනවද?

ඒ සඳහා ලංකාවටත් අවශ්‍යතාවය තියෙනවා. ලංකාවේ සමාගම් වලටත් හැකියාව තියෙනවා. ඒ සමාගම් අතර දැවැන්තම සාමාගම වන හේලීස් ෆෙන්ටන්ස් ආයතනයට සෝලා විදුලිය සඳහා ආයෝජනය කිරීමේ හැකියාව තියෙනවා.

තමන්ගේ නිවසේ වහලය මත සූර්ය පැනල කට්ටලයක් සවිකර ගන්නා පාරිභෝගිකයාට අත්වෙන වාසි මොනවාද?

අපි නිධාන ගැන දන්නවනේ සාමාන්‍යයෙන් නිධාන තියෙන්නෙ පොළොව යටනෙ. ඒත් දැන් හැමෝගෙම වහල මත නිධානයක් තියෙනවා. ඒ තමයි සෝලා පද්ධතිය. සූර්ය බලය අපිට නොමිලේ ලැබෙනවා. වහල උඩ සෝලා පද්ධතියත් සවිකලහම ඒකෙන් විදුලිය නිෂ්පාදනය කරන්න පුළුවන්. ඒ විදුලිය එක්කෝ අපිට පාවිච්චි කරන්න පුළුවන්. නැත්නම් විදුලි බල මණ්ඩලයට විකුණන්න පුළුවන්. විදුලි බල මණ්ඩලයට විකුණන හැම සෝලා විදුලිය ඒකකයක් සඳහාම රුපියල් විසි හතක් ලැබෙනවා. මේ වගේ අවස්ථාවක් නැවත ලේසියෙන් හම්බවෙන්නේ නෑ. මේ කාලය තමයි සූර්ය බල විදුලියට යන්න තියන හොඳම කාලය.

පාරිභෝගිකයන් ඒ සඳහා හේලීස් සෝලා ආයතනය තෝරා ගත යුත්තේ ඇයි?

අපි වාහනයක් ගනිද්දි  ඒක කොච්චර කාලයක් පාවිච්චි කරන්න පුළුවන්ද බ්‍රෑන්ඩ් එක මේ වගේ හැම දෙයක්ම  බලනවා. සෝලා විදුලිය අවුරුදු විස්සක් පාවිච්චි කරන්න පුළුවන්.ඒ නිසා අවුරුදු විස්සක කාලයක් සඳහා සේවාවක් දෙන්න පුළුවන් ආයතනයක් වෙන්නත් ඕනේ. හේලීස් ආයතනය අවුරුදු එකසිය හතලිස් හතක් පැරණි‍යි. හේලීස් ෆෙන්ටන්ස් ආයතනය අවුරුදු එකසිය හයක් පරණයි. ඒ නිසා හේලීස් සෝලා ආයතනයෙන් මිලදී ගන්නා සෝලා පද්ධති වලට  ඒ නිසා හෙලිස් සෝලා ආයතනයෙන් මිලදී ගන්නා සෝලා පද්ධති වලට රුපියල් 20ක වගකීමක් අනිවාර්යයෙන්ම ලබා දෙනවා. මේ වගේ විශ්වාසවන්ත ආයතනයකින් මිලදී ගන්නකොට කෙනෙක්ට බයවෙන්න දෙයක් නෑ.

අලෙවියෙන් පසු ලබාදෙන සේවාව කොහොමද?

හේලීස් ෆෙන්ටන්ස් ආයතනය සතුව අලෙවියෙන් පසු සේවාව ලබාදීමට වෙනමම අංශයක් තියෙනවා. ඒක මුළු ලංකාව පුරාම විහිදුණු අංශයක්. පාරිභෝගිකයන්ට තව සුබ ආරංචියක් තියෙනවා. ඒ තමයි සෝලා කට්ටලය වහල මත කුමන ආයතනයකින් සවි කලත් අපේ ආයතනයට ඒවායේ නඩත්තු සේවා සපයන්න පුළුවන්. ඒ විදිහට අත ඇරලා දාපු සෝලා පද්ධතිවල නඩත්තු කටයුතු අපේ ආයතනයට ලබා දීලා තියෙනවා. විශාල සමාගම් පවා නඩත්තු සේවා ලබා ගැනීමට අපේ ආයතනයට ඇවිත් තියෙනවා. අපි පළමුව අවධානය යොමු කරන්නේ යන වියදමට වඩා ලබා දෙන සේවාවේ ගුණාත්මකභාවය ගැන.

ජංගම බලශක්ති පද්ධතියක් හඳුන්වා දීමටත් හේලීස් සෝලා ආයතනය කටයුතු කරලා තියෙනවා. ඒ ගැන පැහැදිලි කළොත්?

පසුගියදා හදිසියේ සිදුවූ විදුලි බිඳවැටීමත් එක්ක බොහෝ අයට කල්පනා වෙච්ච දෙයක් තමයි ගෙදර ගෙදර හදිසි ලයිට් එකක් තිබුණ නම් හොඳයි කියලා. ඒත් ඒවා වැඩි කල් පාවිච්චි කරන්න බෑ. ඒ වෙනුවට අපේ ආයතනය හඳුන්වා දුන් විසඳුම තමයි මේ ජංගම බලශක්ති පද්ධතිය. ඒක අවුරුදු දහයත් පහළොවත් අතර කාලයක් පාවිච්චි කරන්න පුළුවන්. ගෙදර තියාගන්නත් පුළුවන් අවශ්‍ය නම් වාහනය අරන් යන්නත් පුළුවන්. ඒකෙන් වායු සමීකරණ යන්ත්‍රයක් වුණත් ක්‍රියාත්මක කරවන්න පුළුවන්. විදුලි පංකා ,ලැප්ටොප් මේ ආදී ඕනෑම විදුලියෙන් ක්‍රියාත්මක උපාංගයක් ඒකෙන් ක්‍රියාත්මක කරවන්න පුළුවන්. වොට් තුන්සීය සිට මෙගාවොට් විසි හතර දක්වා විදුලි ධාරිතාවයක් සහිත යන්ත්‍ර දැනට තියෙනවා. ඊට අමතරව ගෙදරකට හයිබ්‍රිඩ් පද්ධතියක් අවශ්‍ය නම් අපිට ඒකත් හයි කරන්න පුළුවන්.

සෑහීමකට පත්වෙන්න බෑ. නමුත් විදුලි බල මණ්ඩලයේ හා විදුලි බල අමාත්‍යංශයේ දැක්ම ගැන අපි සතුටු වෙනවා. මොකද විදුලියෙන් සියයට හැත්තෑවක් පුනර්ජනනීය විදුලියෙන් ලබා ගත යුතුයි කියන මතයෙ අපි ඉන්නවා. පුනර්ජනනීය බලශක්තිය අපතේ නොයවා බැටරියක ගබඩා කර විදුලිය බිඳ වැටුණු දවස්වල පාවිච්චියට ගන්න පුළුවන් කියන මතයෙ තමයි ඉන්නේ.

කොළඹින් දුර බැහැර ප්‍රදේශවල ජීවත්වන අයට හේලීස් සෝලා ආයතනයේ සේවාවන් ලබා ගැනීම වෙනුවෙන් පහසුකම් සපයා තියෙනවද?

පවතින මූල්‍ය අපහසුතා නිසා එකවර මුදල් ගෙවා සෝලා මිලදී ගත නොහැකි අයට වාරික වශයෙන් ගෙවීමේ ක්‍රමයට ඔබ ආයතනයෙන් ලබා දෙනවාද?

In a significant milestone for Sri Lanka’s renewable energy sector, Hayleys Solar, the country’s leading solar solutions provider, has successfully completed a groundbreaking solar energy project for the branch office of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Wattala.

The initiative, which features a 2MWh battery backup powered by a solar photovoltaic system, is the largest of its kind in Sri Lanka and ensures uninterrupted power for up to three days.
This pioneering collaboration underscores Hayleys Solar’s commitment to delivering innovative, sustainable energy solutions that redefine self-sufficiency. The project utilised a solar-panelled car park roof, maximising solar capacity without requiring additional land use. Additionally, the design preserved the property’s original architecture while effectively addressing the net-plus energy challenge, optimising costs and improving efficiency.

Significant Electricity Savings of 31% in Monthly Electricity Bill

The University of Peradeniya’s Engineering and Arts faculties are now powered by a 1.2 MWp solar installation, completed and installed by Hayleys Solar, the renewable energy arm of Hayleys Fentons Limited.

The project marks a significant milestone in the university’s sustainability journey. With additional  solar installations  underway at the Medical Faculty, the university’s total solar capacity is set to reach 1.5 MWp upon completion. The system has so far successfully reduced the university’s average monthly electricity expenditure by 31%.

Professor Lilantha Samaranayake, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, University of Peradeniya, stated, “This collaboration with Hayleys Solar represents a major step in reducing our environmental impact. It demonstrates that renewable energy is a viable solution for large institutions like ours. Hayleys Solar, the renewable energy arm of Hayleys Fentons Limited, has successfully completed a 300.31kW solar installation at the CIC Ekala Sales Office and Warehouse Complex within an impressive timeframe.

The newly installed solar system is projected to reduce carbon emissions by 308 tonnes annually, aligning with CIC‘s sustainability goals to improve its environmental footprint.

Introduces first-ever smart transformer technology to the nation’s rooftop solar installations

Hayleys Solar, the renewable energy arm of Hayleys Fentons Limited, has successfully completed the design, supply, installation, and commissioning of a groundbreaking 6.9 MW rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) system for Access Logistics Private Limited in Negombo – the largest single solar roof installation ever completed in Sri Lanka. Achieved within an impressive timeframe of just three and a half months, this milestone highlights Hayleys Solar’s capability for delivering complex projects with speed, precision, and innovation.

The installation features 11,609 solar panels, 20 inverters, and 2 advanced smart transformer stations, introducing the nation’s first-ever smart transformer technology for rooftop solar. This state-of-the-art system is expected to offset approximately 7,088 tonnes of CO₂ annually, significantly advancing Access Logistics’ green energy goals while reinforcing Hayleys Solar’s pivotal role in Sri Lanka’s renewable energy journey.

The solar yield of the installation has exceeded initial expectations, delivering lasting  benefits to Access Logistics as well as the wider community and Sri Lanka’s renewable energy landscape.
